Will, OH, Tuscarawas, Thomas Cordrey 1829 In the name of God, Amen. I THOMAS CORDREY Sr., of Tuscarawas County and state of Ohio, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say: 1st I will that all my worldly effects, both real and personal, shall be sold at the public sale for cash, or on credit, which was thought most advantageous, and the proceeds thereof disposed of in the following manner. 2nd I will that all my just debts be discharged. 3rd I will unto my eldest son ISAAC CORDREY the sum of one dollar. 4th I will that the sum of eighty dollars be paid to my two daughters MARY [CORDREY] HILLEARY and ELIZABETH CORDREY, named women to be divided equally between them, share and share alike. 5th I will the rest, residue and remainder be it what it may, unto my sons THOMAS CORDREY, NATHAN CORDREY, SHEPHERD [SHEPERA] CORDREY, NOBLE CORDREY, JACOB CORDREY and BARNETT CORDREY to be equally divided amongst them, share and share alike. 6th I will that all the above mentioned legacies or sums of money shall be paid to the said respective legatees so soon as it can be collected or obtained after my decease, and hereby revoking all former wills by me made at any time. In witness thereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the twenty third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine. SAMUEL MILLER JOHN CORRELL Page 1 of 6 ** PAGE BREAK ** Will, OH, Tuscarawas, Thomas Cordrey 1829 State of Ohio Tuscarawas County Special Court 5th June 1832 The last will and testament of THOMAS CORDREY was brought into court and proven to the satisfaction of the court to be the last will and testament of the said THOMAS CORDREY by JOHN CORRELL and SAMUEL MILLER the subscribing witnesses to said will who testified that the said testator signed and acknowledged the same to be his last will and testament that the appeared to be of sound mind and memory and called upon them to bear testimony thereof, whereupon the court appoint NATHAN CORDREY administrator with the will annexed and order that he give bond in the sum of two hundred dollars, GABRIEL CRYDER and PETER BLACK approved as security and that JACOB WALTZ, GEORGE STUDY and HENRY BOREMAN appraise said estate, whereupon the said Administrator appeared in court and was sworn.
