Will, PA, Chester, Andrew Bryan 1789 ANDREW BRYAN's will Proven 30th May 1789 Recorded in book M Vol 8 page 325 No. 4033 Page 1 of 4 ** PAGE BREAK ** Will, PA, Chester, Andrew Bryan 1789 West Chester May 30th 1789 Then personally appeared JAMES PEERY one of the witnesses to the within writing, the other being deceased, and on his solemn oath did depose, declare and say that he was present and did see and hear ANDREW BRYAN, the testator within named, sign, seal, publish and declare the within right writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the doing their of he was of a sound and well disposing mind and memory and to the best of his understanding that his name thereunto subscribed as a witness is of his own proper handwriting and that JOHN MILLS the other witness signed his name in his presence and in the presence of the testator. Sworn before me PERSIFOR FRAZER, register Page 2 of 4 ** PAGE BREAK ** Will, PA, Chester, Andrew Bryan 1789 In the name of God Amen I ANDREW BRYAN of the township of East Nottingham in the county of Chester and Province of Pennsylvania, farmer, being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory there for calling to mind immortality of my body to make & ordain this my last will and testament in the following Manner and form viz: After allowing my body to be buried in a decent and Christian manner and my just debts being paid; I give my son ANDREW [BRYAN] a horse belonging to me he has in the wagon. I give unto my son JOHN [BRYAN] my bond boy ROBERT. I give under my daughter MARGARET [BRYAN] one cow. I give unto her child to sheep. I give unto MARY [BRYAN] my wife 1/3 part of my real estate during her natural life and 1/3 of my remaining personal estate to be disposed of by her at her pleasure and the other two-thirds to be equally divided among my under named children viz: JOHN [BRYAN], MARY [BRYAN], ANDREW [BRYAN], and HENRY [BRYAN]. Also the remaining two-thirds of my real estate in the first third of my wife's at my wife's deceased. I give to my two sons JOHN and HENRY to be equally divided betwixt them having respect to quantity and quality and then my son John is to have the XXX c h o r e. Lastly I ordained constitute and appoint my son JOHN [BRYAN] and DAVID WHERRY my sole executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the second day of May in the year of Our Lord 1781.
