I VALENTINE BRASWELL of the state of North Carolina and County of wake being in perfect health of body mind and memory thanks to God for it but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordained this my last will and testament and desire it may be received by all as such. FIRST AND PRINCIPALLY I give bequeath to my beloved wife PATIENCE BRASWELL all my lands, messages, and tenements together with all the rest of every kind and part and parcel of my estate real and personal to her and her heirs and assigns forever, to enjoy the same and every part and parcel thereof.
