Will, DE, Sussex, SARAH Hazzard 1788

And the name of God Amen.

I SARAH HAZZARD of the county of Sussex on Delaware to make my last will and
testament in manner and form following, that is to say:

IMPRIMIS I give and bequeath to my loving son ARTHUR HAZZARD one negro boy named
ISAAC to him and his heirs and assigns forever.

SECONDLY I give and bequeath to my grandson THOMAS HAZZARD my best bed and
furniture, namely one rug and blanket, two pillows and cases, two pairs of sheets,
one sow and pigs, one cow and calf, and two young steers to him and his heirs and
assigns forever.

THIRDLY I give and bequeath onto my five daughters, ELIZABETH STOCKLEY, HESTER
ROBINSON, SARAH WEST, ANN MILBY, and COMFORT CRAIG my wearing apparel to be equally
divided among them mm are heirs and assigns forever.

FOURTHLY I give and bequeath to my loving daughter COMFORT CRAIG my silver
teaspoons and a half part of my table linen and towels. The other half of my table
linen and towels to my daughter ANN MILBY and a spinning wheel to each of them,
their heirs and assigns forever.

FIFTHLY I give and bequeath to my grandson DAVID CRAIG one cow and calf to him and
his heirs and assigns forever.

SIXTHLY I give and bequeath to my two granddaughters ANN HAZZARD and SARAH HAZZARD
daughters of ARTHUR HAZZARD all my computer to be equally divided between them
their heirs and assigns forever.

SEVENTHLY I give to my granddaughter SARAH HAZZARD daughter of JOSEPH HAZZARD 1
spinner wheel XXX to her and her heirs and assigns forever.

EIGHTHLY I give to my daughters SARAH WEST, ANN MILBY and COMFORT CRAIG all my
negroes except the boy before given to my son ARTHUR to be equally divided between
them their heirs and assigns forever.

NINETHLY and lastly I give and bequeath to my son ARTHUR HAZZARD all the rest and
residue of my estate both real and personal to him, his heirs and assigns forever.

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my loving son ARTHUR HAZZARD whole and sole
executor of this my last will and testament, utterly revoking and disannulling all
other and former Wills find me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this have
no other to be my last will and testament this 25th day of May 1780.

Memorandum

Before me PHILLIPS KOLLOCK register appointed for the probate of wills and granting
of letters of administration for the county of Sussex on Delaware personally
appeared _____ _____ two of the witnesses to the within subscribing and being duly
sworn on the holy evangelists of almighty God did severally declare that in their
sight, presence and hearing the testatrix SARAH HAZZARD did sign, seal, publish,
and declare the within written to be her last will and testament and that the
doings are of she was of a sound and perfect mind, memory, and judgment, and that
they and each of them did subscribe their names their two together with SARAH
CRIPPEN the other witness in the presence of the testatrix and her at her request.
