CHINKIANG, China from 1886 to 1892 SHANGHAI, China from 1893 to 1923 and that I am domiciled in the United States temporarily being at Seminary Hills in the state of Texas, where I follow the occupation of Professor of Missions. My last passport was obtained from the U. S. Consulate, SHANGHAI, China on April 13, 1920. I intend to leave the United States from the port of San Francisco sailing on board the Shinyo Maru on July 24, 1923. Myself and my wife have been here on vacation for a little over two years and have taught missions in the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary during most of the time. We desire the passport for returning as missionaries to our station in SHANGHAI, China. RODERICK DORSEY, vice Consulate General in charge of the United States of America at SHANGHAI, China, hereby certify that ROBERT THOMAS BRYAN is registered as an American citizen in this consulate. He was born October 14, 1855 at near KENANSVILLE, N. C., and is a citizen of the United States. He arrived in SHANGHAI on January 14, 1886 where he is now residing for the purpose of Mission Work married to a widower, he has the following children: F. CATHERINE, born in CHINKIANG, China on June 18th, 1886 and residing at SHANGHAI, and LULU FRESELAND, born in CHINKIANG on October 16, 1887 and residing at Louisville, KY and ELIZA YATES, born in CHINKIANG December 8th, 1888 and residing at SHANGHAI and ROBERT THOMAS JR., born in SHANGHAI, October 13th, 1892, and residing at Fork Union, VA.
