Deed, SC, Pendleton, JOSIAH FARMER to NATHAN BRIANT, 1824 State of South Carolina KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I, JOSIAH FARMER of the District of Pendleton and state aforesaid, for and in consideration of $20 to me paid by NATHAN BRIANT have granted, bargain, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and release onto the said NATHAN BRIANT all that Plantation or tract of land containing 20 acres, more or less, being part of a tract of land on the head of Beaver Dam Creek supposed to have been granted to JOHN HUNTER and sold by him to MICHAEL RISENER and by him to my father JAMES FARMER. Beginning at NATHAN BRIANT's Gum corner near the creek; from thence to a stake corner at NATHAN BRIANT's land; thence to where FARMER’s upper line crosses the creek; thence down the meanders of the creek to the beginning. SO AS to include all that part of the said tracked which lays on the east side of the creek. together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining. to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said NATHAN BRIANT, his heirs and assigns forever, against me and my heirs and against every other person lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. witness my hand and seal this sixth day of February in the year of Our Lord 1824 and in the 48th year of American independence.
