By virtue of a precept from JOHN TROUP Esq., DS Sur. Gen. [District Surveyor
General] bearing date 31 day of October 1765 I have admeasured and laid out
unto JAMES O’BRIAN, attorney at law, a plantation or tract of land containing
four hundred and fifty acres situated, lying and being in Granville County and
on a branch of Savana [Savannah] River called the Pearl Garden Butting and
bounding on all sides on vacant land and hath such shapes and marks as the
above plat represents.

Certified for the 20th December 1765
