Deed, NC, Mecklenburg, SAMUEL DAVIDSON to GEORGE DAVIDSON, 1764 THIS INDENTURE made the 14th day of July 1764. BETWEEN SAMUEL DAVIDSON of the province of North Carolina and County of Rowan of the one part and GEORGE DAVIDSON and KATHRINE his wife, of the province and County aforesaid of the other part. WITNESSETH the said GEORGE DAVIDSON, and KATHRINE his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of 15 shillings to them in hand paid by the said SAMUEL DAVIDSON, the receipt is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said SAMUEL DAVIDSON a tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the province aforesaid and County of Mecklenburg lying on MOSES DICKEY'S Creek on the south side of the Catawba River including the forks of said creek. Beginning at a White Oak and; runs N 70 W 320 poles to a stake; then S 320 poles to an stake; then S 70 E 320 poles to a Red Oak on the branch thereby; and with the several courses of said branch to the place of beginning. THE SAME BEING GRANTED to GEORGE DAVIDSON by patent, bearing date March of 1754, relation thereto being had may more at large appear. The same land, containing by estimation, 640 acres & c. and all the uses, buildings, gardens, orchards, meadows, waters, water courses, mines, minerals, profits, commodities, hereditaments, appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining, the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, profits, the one half of the gold and silver mines accepted, and all the estate, right, title, interest, use, trust, property, claim, and demand whatsoever of them the said DAVIDSON, and KATHRINE his wife, of the said premises hereby granted and released and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said SAMUEL DAVIDSON, his heirs and assigns. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the set tract or parcel of land, from the day of the date hereof for and during the term of one full year from thence next ensuing, fully to be complete and ended yielding and paying the of the rent of one peppercorn on the day next if the same be lawfully demanded to the intent that by virtue of these presents and force of the statue for transferring uses into possession the said SAMUEL DAVIDSON be in actual possession of the premises and be here by enabled to accept and take a grant and release for the reversion and inheritance thereof to him, the said SAMUEL DAVIDSON, his heirs and assigns forever.
