Deed, GA, Screven, LEWIS O’BRYAN to JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH, 1798 Georgia Screven County THIS INDENTURE made the 13th day of March in the year of our Lord 1799 and in the 23rd year of the Independence of the United States of America. BETWEEN LEWIS O’BRYAN planter, and VEAV [O’BRYAN] his wife, of the one part and JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH , bachelor, of the same state and county of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said LEWIS O’BRYAN, and VEAV, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of £50 sterling to him paid in hand well and truly paid by the said JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said LEWIS O’BRYAN, and VEAV, his wife, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract of land containing 150 acres, be the same, more or less. Bounded southwest by lands of JOSEPH HUMPHRIES [HUMPHREYS] and east by JOSEPH SLAD and CALEB HOWELL land, and on all other sides vacant land at the time of survey as will more fully appear by grant for the same to DAVID O’BRYAN dated the 16th day of November 1793 and in the 18th year of American Independence. TOGETHER with all and singular the houses, out houses, buildings and improvements, rents, issues, profits, privileges, commodities, and all right, title, interest, inheritance, benefits, claims and demands whatsoever, to the said land and all and singular the promises above mentioned with there and ever of their rights, members and appurtenances together with all and singular writing including or anywise concerning the same or any part thereof to the own proper use and benefit and behoof of the said JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH, his heirs and assigns, forever. AND the same mentioned land and all and every part and parcel thereof unto the said JOHN HOLLINGSWORTH, his heirs and assigns and against all and ever other person or persons whatsoever shall and will forever warrant and defend, by these presents.
