Will, NC, Nash, Persons Rackley 1814 North Carolina ] Nash County ] In the name of God Amen I PERSONS RACKLEY of the county of Nash and the state of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die to make and publish this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following viz: First of all I wish that all my just debts be paid, lawful. ITEM I give and bequeath to the lawful heirs of my son JOSEPH RACKLEY, wherever they be, the sum of four dollars to them and their heir's forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son FREDERICK RACKLEY the sum of four dollars to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son FRANCIS RACKLEY one whip saw and tool gangs to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I lend unto my son MATTHEW RACKLEY a negro girl by the name of THEROBY during his natural life and after his death I give and bequeath the said negro THEROBY to my grand daughter LUCY RACKLEY daughter, said MATTHEW RACKLEY to her and her heir forever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my two daughters CELYVIAS and SARAH my negro woman JUDE and all her increase thereafter to them and their heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my daughter MOLLY RACKLEY four dollars to she and her heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son SILAS RACKLEY my negro girl named MELBRY and two hundred dollars to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my grandson FREDERICK RACKLEY (son of FREDERICK RACKLEY) my negro boy named ATHELSTON (son of JUDE), who I have before giving to my two daughters CELYVIAS and SARAH to him and his heirs forever. The money is arising from the sale of the balance of the property before mentioned together with all my notes and money in hand my will and desire is that it shall be equally divided between my son's FRANCIS RACKLEY, MATTHEW RACKLEY and FREDERICK RACKLEY and my daughters ELIZABETH BACHELOR, CELYVIAS RACKLEY and SARAH ETHERIDGE and my grand daughter MARGARET RACKLEY (daughter of PERSONS RACKLEY) to them and theirs forever I do hereby constitute and appoint my son FRANCIS RACKLEY and my friend DAVID RICKS executors to this my last will and testament, revoking and this annulling all other wills by me here too for made and this to be my last will and testament, in witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of October 1814.
