In the name of God Amen.

I RICHARD HAYES Sr. of Sussex County, being weak in body but of sound mind and
memory, thanks be to God, do this day March the 31st 1773 make and publish this my
last will and testament in Manner and form following, that is to say:

FIRST I give to my son NATHANIEL [HAYES] and to my son RICHARD [HAYES] and to my
daughter RACHEL [HAYES] and to my daughter ELIZABETH [HAYES] all my movable estate
to be equally divided between them.

And also I leave my son RICHARD to be administrator and also I will and bequeath to
my son RICHARD’s son, my grandson, CURTIS HAYES, my dwelling Plantation with 150
acres of land where on I now dwell to him and The Heirs of his body lawfully
begotten of his body and to his heirs heirs forever.

And in witness whereof the said RICHARD HAYES have hereunto set my last will and
testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Memorandum

The 31st day of May 1777 before me, PHILLIPS KOLLOCK, register appointed for the
probate of wills and granting letters of administration for the county of Sussex on
Delaware, personally appeared _____ _____ two of the witnesses to the within will
subscribing and being solemnly sworn on the holy evangelists of almighty God they
did severally depose and say that in their sight, presence and hearing the
testator, RICHARD HAYES, did Sign, Sealed, published, pronounce and declare the
within to be his last will and testament and that they at the doing their of he was
of a sound, disposing mind and memory and that they and each of them did together
subject their names as Witnesses thereto in the presence and at the request of the
testator.
