WILLIAM ROSS four hundred and eighty seven acres of land in Granville County on
both sides Turkey Creek:

    Beginning at a White Oak in ALFORD’s line; thence running South 40 poles
    to a pine; thence East 160 poles to a Pine, HILL’s corner; thence by his
    line and the aforesaid Creek South 45 Degrees East 200 poles to a Red
    Oak; thence West 488 poles to a Red Oak; thence North 188 poles to a
    pine; thence by ALFORD’s line East to the first station.

Dated 1st day of March, 1762
