Pursuant to a precept to me directed by WILLIAM DE BRATUN [BRATTON] Esq. Surveyor
General bearing date the 3rd day of February 1756 I have admeasured and laid out to
James Cain a tract of land containing three hundred Acres in Granville County
bounding SW on Savannah River, where act navigable; SE on NICHOLAS GUNNELL’s land;
NW on THOMAS HOWARD’s land; and the other sides on vacant land, having such shape,
form and marks as appears by the above plat.

Certified by me this 16th day of February 1756.
